VIN # SRL00455
This is a rare half year car and sought after as fewer that 700 units were produced between March and November of 1967. The U20 4 cylinder engine has a cast ironblock, an aluminum head, and factory competition package. Nissan engineered this car to be competitive on the race track by introducing a windscreen that easily unbolts with four bolts, dual Mikuni/Solex carbs, and a “B” racing cam churning 150 H.P.
They also built in extra cooling with an eight quart finned aluminum oil pan and for the first time in production, a Borg Warner 5 speed transmission. The advantage of weighing only 2000 lbs, along with the added race engineering made this the beginning of some eighty SCCA racing titles in America for Nissan.
This car is number 455 out of the 700 built and retains the original drive train and sheet metal.
